Hh540 Celebrates Inaugural Year Of Impact And Achievement

Atlanta, GA | Thursday, December 28, 2023 – In the heart of Georgia, Heartbeats & Hands 540, LLC (HH540) proudly announces the successful conclusion of its inaugural year, marked by profound community impact and significant achievements. As a beacon of volunteerism and community service, HH540 is thrilled to share the outcomes of a year dedicated to connecting individuals and groups with volunteer activities and community volunteer-based initiatives.


With over 170 volunteer hours contributed and $14,000 raised through donations and in-kind gifts, Heartbeats & Hands 540, LLC expresses profound gratitude to the community for its unwavering support. These collective efforts have allowed the organization to make a meaningful difference in three core areas of emphasis: reducing homelessness and hunger, nurturing bright futures for children and adolescents, and advocating for health awareness initiatives.


501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status Attained: A Milestone in Community Service

Highlighting a pivotal moment in its journey, Heartbeats & Hands 540, LLC achieved 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in August 2023. This esteemed designation officially recognizes HH540 as a tax-exempt, charitable organization (EIN: 93-2236617). This status not only underscores the organization's commitment to charitable work, but also provides opportunities for tax-deductible donations. It empowers individuals and businesses to contribute to HH540's initiatives while capitalizing on the benefits of tax deductions.


Making a Difference Across Core Areas of Impact

Heartbeats & Hands 540, LLC focused its efforts on three core areas of emphasis throughout the year:


Reducing Homelessness & Hunger

  • Successfully participated in the 16th Annual Atlanta Mission 5k Race To End Homelessness, surpassing the initial fundraising goal and collecting an impressive $1,030.

  • Hosted two volunteer projects at the Salvation Army Command Center, Atlanta, GA providing three daily meals to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

  • Partnered with a local businesswoman to donate blankets and everyday essential items to The Garden of Gethsemane Homeless Shelter in Covington, GA. Event sponsor, Big Nick’s BBQ & Soul Foodrestaurant contributed $250 to the effort.


Nurturing Bright Futures for Children & Adolescents

  • Implemented the Prom Project, offering formal gowns, accessories, and photography free of cost to underprivileged students attending the Clarkston High School prom in Clarkston, GA. Through donations, the team was able to purchase nine prom tickets valued at $140.

  • Organized The Hive Donation Sorting Center Project, where volunteers processed donations for the Bloom Our Your - Bloom Closet, a free store supporting children and families in foster care. Located in Fayetteville, GA, the organization services foster children and foster care families throughout the state of Georgia.

  • Hosted two Bloom Closet Donation Drives, benefiting children and foster care families with everyday essential items such as clothing, books, toys, and school supplies to be distributed throughout Georgia.


Health Advocacy: Cancer Awareness and Memory Care

  • Raised awareness and donated $250 to support individuals and families impacted by cancer at the Everycolor Matters Gala in Atlanta, GA.

  • Donated two Cenotaph Amish Bereavement Cradles to Piedmont Rockdale and Piedmont Covington Hospitals, supporting families impacted by infant mortality and stillbirth, with a total value of $11,600.

  • Coordinated a Sweet Memories Cookies Exchange Party for elderly dementia and memory loss residents at Peachtree Creek Memory Care facility in Smyrna, GA. Each resident received a Christmas gift of a fidget blanket for memory care patients, holiday socks, and a sweet treat. Project value of $680.
