Atlanta, GA – March 10, 2026 - In spring of 2025, Heartbeats & Hands 540 was honored to receive a $1,500 grant in 2025 from the Junior League of Cobb/Marietta to support the launch of Cole’s Initiative — a youth empowerment program designed to equip teens and young adults (ages 13–20) with foundational financial literacy and personal development skills.

On March 10, 2026, HH540 had the pleasure of attending the Junior League’s meeting to share an update on the program’s impact — a full-circle moment that highlighted the power of partnership in action.
Centered around the book I Graduated… Now What? by Deborah Benard, the program provides a practical roadmap for navigating adulthood with confidence.
Because of this investment, HH540 not only met its initial goal of distributing 300 books — but exceeded it by reaching 360 youth through strategic partnerships.
2025 Distribution Highlights:
Youth Leadership Institute, Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® – 50 books
Mission 1:27 Adventure Teen program – 50 books
Four Corners Group – 50 books
Waymark Xtreme Journey Camp – 70 books
Mary Hall Freedom Village – 140 books
This milestone reflects HH540’s continued commitment to empowering the next generation with knowledge, confidence, and tools for long-term success.
