Atlanta, GA – December 29, 2025 - Heartbeats & Hands 540 (HH540), a nonprofit organization committed to uniting and inspiring individuals to be the change they want to see in the world, proudly reflects on a year of meaningful growth and service in 2025. Throughout the year, HH540 supported five community programs, mobilized 33 volunteers, and contributed a total of 111.5 volunteer hours in service to individuals and families across metro Atlanta.
A Year of Purpose-Driven Impact
HH540’s 2025 impact spanned health, wellness, education, and community care—anchored by strong nonprofit partnerships and hands-on volunteer engagement.

Q1: Wellness & Volunteer CelebrationThe year began with the Wellness Box Campaign, where HH540 partnered with The Survivor’s Nest to assemble and distribute more than 50 wellness boxes for women impacted by cancer. The boxes included hygiene, self-care, and mental wellness items, with product support from Lume. In addition, HH540 hosted its first-ever fundraiser, the Home Run for Volunteerism: Savannah Bananas Raffle, raising funds to support future volunteer initiatives.

Q2: Expansion Through Grants & ServiceIn the second quarter, HH540 received a mini-grant from the Junior League of Cobb County, strengthening the organization’s capacity to launch the Cole’s Initiative program. HH540 volunteers also supported families at the Shepherd Center Family Dinner, providing meals and encouragement to patients and loved ones navigating recovery. Additionally, volunteers supported the Every Color Matters Annual Gala, assisting with event logistics in support of cancer patients and survivors.
Q3: Building Momentum for Education & AwarenessQ3 focused on preparation and outreach. HH540 launched a volunteer recruitment campaign for the Every Color Matters 5K Run/Walk and secured partnerships for Cole’s Initiative, a youth financial literacy program designed to equip teens and young adults with foundational money management skills through book distribution and education.

Q4: Volunteerism & Financial Literacy in ActionThe year concluded with hands-on impact. HH540 volunteers supported the Every Color Matters 5K Run/Walk Race, serving at cheer and hydration stations to uplift cancer survivors and families. Through Cole’s Initiative, HH540 distributed 330 financial literacy books to five nonprofit organizations serving youth, families, and women in recovery. Board leadership also conducted site visits, including a tour of Mary Hall Freedom Village, engaging directly with staff and program participants to deepen partnership and understanding.
