Heartbeats & Hands 540 Partners with Every Color Matters for Annual 5K

Join Us in Supporting the Fight Against Cancer This November

ree

Heartbeats & Hands 540 (HH540) is proud to once again partner with Every Color Matters (ECM) for their annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Westside Park in Atlanta, GA (1660 Johnson Road, Atlanta, GA 30318).

The ECM 5K is more than a race—it’s a celebration of courage, community, and compassion. Every Color Matters is dedicated to raising awareness, hope, and support for those touched by cancer, and the 5K brings together families, survivors, and supporters to run, walk, and cheer for a meaningful cause.

This year, HH540 is honored to provide 20 volunteers (register here) to help with race-day support, ensuring a smooth and joyful experience for all participants. Volunteer roles include:

  • Registration & Check-In – greeting participants with a warm welcome

  • Set-Up & Breakdown – preparing and closing out the event space

  • Water Stations – keeping participants hydrated along the route

  • Course Marshals / Cheer Squad – encouraging runners and walkers every step of the way

  • Start/Finish Line Support – celebrating participants as they cross the line

Volunteers will arrive at 6:00 AM on race day to help set the tone for an uplifting event.

Why Volunteer?

By giving your time and energy, you are directly supporting ECM’s mission of offering encouragement and tangible assistance to those in our community facing cancer. Last year’s event was filled with powerful moments, including the surprise presentation of checks to cancer patients to help with medical expenses. HH540 volunteers played an essential role in making that day possible—and we can’t wait to do it again.

How to Get Involved

Whether you’d like to register as a runner/walker or join HH540 as a volunteer, there’s a place for you at this year’s ECM 5K. Together, we can make a difference—one step, one cheer, one smile at a time.

👉 Sign up to volunteer with HH540 today and be part of spreading hope and joy this fall.
