Atlanta, GA | Friday, February 23, 2024 — Heartbeats & Hands 540 (HH540), a philanthropic volunteer-based organization committed to facilitating meaningful connections between businesses and individuals to impactful volunteer opportunities across the state of Georgia, has announced a significant donation of new women's shoes to the City of Refuge, a 501(c)(3) Atlanta-based nonprofit.
The generous donation, comprising a collection of 84 pair of new women's shoes, comes from a local store closing down, and HH540 has selected City of Refuge as the benefactors of this contribution. The shoes will be directed towards supporting the House of Cherith, operated by City of Refuge, which provides safe housing and supportive services for women recovering from the trauma of sexual exploitation.
City of Refuge's mission is to help individuals and families transition out of crisis through their faith-based programs, including Housing, Health & Wellness, Youth Development, and Job Training. The House of Cherith is a crucial component of their efforts, offering a nurturing environment for women to heal and rebuild their lives.
Heartbeats & Hands 540 is honored to support City of Refuge in their mission by providing this donation of new women's shoes. With a commitment to fostering impactful connections and addressing community needs, HH540 continues to serve as a bridge between businesses and charitable organizations, facilitating positive change across Georgia.
"We are delighted to partner with City of Refuge and contribute to the important work they do in our community," said C. Nicole Hill, of Heartbeats & Hands 540. About Heartbeats & Hands 540:
Heartbeats & Hands 540 is a philanthropic volunteer organization dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between individuals and impactful volunteer opportunities at charitable and non-profit organizations across the state of Georgia. Established in 2022 by our founder, who, after experiencing a stillbirth in 2021, envisioned Heartbeats & Hands 540 as a vehicle for spreading joy amidst grief.
Our organization draws its name from the symbolism of the heartbeat, representing the unifying organ we all share that gives us life, and hands, symbolizing the spirit of helping hands reaching out to those in need. The number 540 holds a special significance, representing 540Hz—the frequency of joy. Heartbeats & Hands 540 is committed to making a positive impact on individuals and communities, guided by the belief that joy and support go hand in hand.
Through our volunteer initiatives and partnerships with charitable organizations, we aim to create a network of compassion and service, bringing comfort to those facing challenges and spreading joy where it is needed most. Join us in our mission to build a community of caring hearts and helping hands, uplifting one another, and making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
